課程概述

本課程將從當代倫理學的視角,探討《莊子》的倫理思維。
一方面,本課程將透過研讀《莊子》中具有倫理反思的文本,探討《莊子》倫理思想的內涵及特質;同時,也透過研讀具有代表性的當代倫理學著作,將當代倫理學的相關論題及理論,與《莊子》的倫理思想進行比較,藉此將《莊子》的倫理思想引入當代倫理論題的討論中,以探索其中可能的意義及價值。
This course will explore the ethical dimension of the Zhuangzi from the perspective of contemporary moral philosophy. On the one hand, this course will explore the meaning and characteristics of the moral thoughts in the Zhuangzi by studying the related chapters of the book. On the other hand, these moral thoughts will composed with the related theories in contemporary moral philosophy. The aim is to situate the moral thoughts in the Zhuangzi into the context of contemporary moral debates, to thereby uncover their possible meanings and values.
 

課程目標
本課程希望修課同學在以下幾方面能有切要的掌握:首先,對於莊子倫理思維的脈絡及特質能深入了解;其次,能掌握當代倫理學的重要論題及理論;其三,把握《莊子》倫理思想在當代倫理學討論中可能的意義及價值。
Upon completing this course, students will have mastered the following: First, they can understand the context and characteristics of the ethical dimension at the Zhuangzi. Secondly, they can grasp the important issues and theories in contemporary moral philosophy. Third, students can grasp the significance and value of the moral thoughts in the Zhuangzi within the context of contemporary moral philosophy.
 
課程要求
本課程要求修課同學仔細研讀指定之文本,同時研讀相關學術研究文獻。每一次上課皆有特定主題,同學必須先研讀相關材料,並在課堂進行報告及討論。期末將於課堂進行一研究座談,每一修課同學需於該座談發表期末報告內容,並由其他同學作出評論。
